Giulia holds a degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies from the University of Urbino, with a thesis in nanotechnologies completed at the University of Groningen. She has experience in various methods for preparing and characterizing drug delivery systems, and has conducted tests on human cells, focusing on creating liposomes loaded with ART-type drugs and exploring the effects of both free and encapsulated drugs on human breast cancer cells.
Her PhD project at IEMR will focus on using nanoparticles to deliver a new drug for post-ischemic heart failure.
