This year over one-hundred cardiac researchers from around Norway ascended to the beautiful peak of Holmenkollen to take part in the 20th Annual Norwegian Symposium on Heart Research.

The Symposium is a national hub for cutting-edge cardiac research and an opportunity for young talented researchers to show-case their hard work and receive feedback. We heard exciting talks ranging from the use of artificial intelligence in cardiac research to the practical assessment and treatment of cardiac diseases.

The IEMR showed a strong contribution to this year’s event, with excellent short presentations from junior researchers that inspired plenty of discussion from both the panel and audience (and several prizes!). Congratulations to winners Chloe Rixon and Karoline Bjarnesdatter Rypdal and runner-ups Ida Marie Hauge-Iversen, Xin Shen, Athiramo Sasi and Kristine Andreassen.

Price winner Karoline Bjarnesdatter Rypdal with Director of Norheart Prof. Kåre-Olav Stensløkken and Head of Organizing committee Prof. Thor Edvardsen.
